Alzheimer's Disease is a degenerative brain disease and the most common form of dementia. According to the Alzheimer's Association, currently 5.8 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's Disease. By 2050 this number is expected to rise to 14 million.
More than 16 million Americans provide unpaid care for people with Alzheimer's or other dementias, according to the Alzheimer's Association. Often these are spouses or relatives who provide loving care. Our Loving Care grants are designed to help those unpaid caregivers by providing paid care and allowing them time to rest, refresh and rejuvenate themselves.
